After deciding what treatment suits you best, your doctor will perform the treatment on small test areas to determine whether the skin reacts well. Treatments consist of quick flashes of light administered to the area through a hand piece, and it usually lasts from fifteen to twenty minutes. Patients must keep in mind that laser treatment is not an immediate cure and they may have to come to the clinic for at least six sessions of treatment.
